Swing Factories
Bring your friends to this one if you love swing dance as much as we do! This one runs only on every third Friday of the month!
There is a one hour lesson beginning at 8:30pm, and then social all night long (around 11:30pm). If the mood is right, we'll throw in some late-night blues afterwards! This event is not to be missed.
Swing Factories are hosted at 1313 Hollis. The cover is $5 or for free if you volunteer!
Swing with the fishes and Halifax Lindy Explosion (HLX)
Swing with the Fishes is our main dance event of the year. It is a themed dance event held upstairs at the McInnes room in the Student Union Building on 6136 University Avenue, Dalhousie University. It is a semi-formal event and includes live music from a local big band. It happens along with local lessons and other events during the Halifax Lindy Explosion weekend. It will occur the weekend of Nov. 17-19 this year (2017). More details are coming soon.

Studley Gym may be used in the event where First Baptist Church is not available.
Studley Gym is located on Dalhousie University campus at 6185 South Street between Alumni Crescent and University Avenue, and beside LeMarchant Place.

DANSpace may be used for one-off events or relocated socials when other venues are available.

King's dance studio may be used in the event where First Baptist Church is not available. It is located in the basement of the University of King's College Gym at 6350 Coburg Road.
SUNDAY NIGHT BLUES at 1313 hollis
Enjoy a lesson and a social dance - and maybe some drinks on the side. Sunday night blues occurs at 1313 Hollis Street with a half hour beginner lesson at 7:30pm, and a social afterward which continues until 11:30pm. The cover is $5.
Bearly's house of blues and ribs
Few people meet up every now and then at Bearly's for an authentic late-night blues experience.
No lessons are taught at Bearly's. It is a pure social venue.
